The 12 yr old Americans team won the District 6 Championship by beating Steger 4-0 in 7 innings. Braden Mulder pitched 6 scoreless innings with Juan Moreno pitching a scoreless 7th.Eric Slager hit a two run double in the 7th to break it open

Highlights: Lansing American took 2nd in the 11 Year Old State Tournament.  Falling to Western Springs in the Championship game.  Congratulations on a fine run, Second in State.

Highlights: LANSING CAME FROM A 5-0 DEFICIT IN THE FIRST INNING AND EXPLODED HITTING, UNTIL THEY TOOK THE LEAD FOR GOOD.
 TOP OF THE ORDER DOWN TO THE 12TH BATTER BATTLED AND GAVE THE TOWN OF TUSCOLA AND THE FANS PRESENT A GAME PEOPLE WILL TALK ABOUT FOR YEARS! 
IT DEFINED "COME-BACK AND NEVER QUIT", 
ON TO THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE GAME

Highlights: Lansing American lost 4-0 in a hard fought battle.  Two great defensive plays by the Western Springs ball club kept the American team off the board.  Lansing plays Peru tonight, 8-8 at 7:30pm in Tuscola.

Crystal Lake American 3
date: 8/5/06
Highlights: Dominic Albanese pitched a complete game for the victory.  Trevor Wheaton scored on a base hit from Alex Shell to cut the Crystal Lake lead to 2-1 at the end of two. Kyle Janowski then electrified the crowd with a two run home run scoring Peyton Padjen and himself for the go ahead runs to keep the Lansing American team in the lead for good.  Jeremy Kravetz and Elijah Shepard added insurance runs in the 4th and Trevor Wheaton and Dominic Albanese added runs in the 5th.  Great base running and defense helped secure the victory.  Lansing American plays Monday night August 7th at 8pm in Tuscola, the winner of Mondays game advances to the Championship Game.

Lansing 9
Alsip 3
Lansing American wins the 10-11 Sectional Championship by defeating Alsip 9-3.  Peyton Padjen drove in Jeremy Kravetz for the Americans run in the first.  Kyle Janowski singled home Avery Shepard(2B) to give the American team the lead for good in the second inning.  Saleem Sanford then added a pinch hit  (two and two count fastball) over the fence in right center for a three run homer.  Making the score 5-1 after three. Jeremy Kravetz then knocked in Alex Schell(1B) in the 4th for a 6-1 lead.
Jordan Davis, Dominic Albanese and Tyler Sroczynski all added runs in the 5th on walks and hit batters.  Dominic Albanese pitched a complete game and did not allow a walk.  Superb defense was played in the field.


LANSING  4
Jackie Robinson  3

Highlights: Dominic Albanese pitched a stellar 6 innings, allowing 5 hits and only 3 runs.  Dominic also made two great plays on line shots back up the middle.  Lansing american plays sunday @ 11am in Alsip vs. the winner of the Alsip/East Side game.

Lansing 11yr olds played three games in the OTYA tourney. Sergio Cabrera had a towering homerun and pitched 11 strong innings with 14 strikeouts  over 2 games. Cody Hutchison had a strong 6 inning performance with 8 strikeouts in Game 3

Highlights: Brian Seymour pitched 4 innings allowing only three runs while going 3 for 3 at the plate. Danny Janowski ripped a two-run double to ice the game. Joey Skrbina pitched the final two innings of the game to preserve the win.

Highlights: Lansing dropped the opening game of the Homewood Tournament against Ridge-Beverly. A 4-run first inning proved to be too much for Lansing to overcome. Tyler Kluth and Zac Hill each doubled in the game.

Highlights: Lansing American won the opening game of the 10 yr. old Sectional behind a three-run home run by Danny Janowski. Janowski also pitched a solid 6 innings to earn the win. Brian Seymour added a double. Austin Sanders fielfed hot grounder at first base for the final out of the game.

 7/23/06

Highlights: Lansing American suffered its first loss of the tournament season as Evergreen Park came from behind in the final two innings for an 8-4 victory. Brian Seymour smacked a triple to right center in the first inning and Danny Janowski ripped a double down the line to tie the game at 1-1. Janowski then added a solo home run to left field for a Lansing 2-1 lead and Austin Sanders had an RBI single.

Highlights: Tough loss in the championship game.  The kids came back from being down 8-0, led by Adam Kessler, 2 for 3, and Collin Tempelman, who had a key base hit driving in 2.  Collin also threw out 6 of 7 runners stealing on him in the tournament.  Isaac Kort, Steven Massay, and Collin Dougherty only walked ten batters in the five game tournament.

Highlights: Another excellent pitched game by Kort and Massay, giving up only one walk.  Adam Kessler, 2 for 2, with 2 RBI's.

Highlights: Another stellar pitching peformance by Kort, Massay, and Dougherty, walking only one.  Isaac Kort, a triple, double, with 3 RBI's.  Jimmy Perino, 2 doubles, 4 RBI's.  Cemented a spot in the playoff round.

Highlights: Excellent defensive game by Lansing.  Kort, Massay, and Dougherty didn't walk anyone.  In the bottom of the 6th, tying run on 2nd, Kyle Martinez, dove and caught a line shot, stood up and doubled the guy off second to end the game.
